Summer Mission Trips.... Middle School Missions Trip! While we are called year round to be a light for the gospel, God provides opportunity during the summer to spend concentrated time to serve him through VBS, Missions, community service excursions, etc... Many of you were able to go on a trip last year to Cannonsburg PA last year and had a wonderful experience in serving God. We are planning a mission trip for current MS students (currently 6th to 8th grades) to Harrisburg PA during July 29th-August 3rd, serving the community with other youth groups around the country. If you are interested, you will need to fill out a domestic missions trip form (see right hand side bar) and hand it to Pastor Manny by FEBRUARY 5TH! Please talk to him if you have any questions.
High School Missions Trip! Get closer to Jesus as you work for a week in a community, seving senior citizens centers or painting/repairing homes; leading kids club for local children; feeding those in need...all at Lynn, MA (near Boston) from June 24 to June 29th. For current 9th-12th graders. If you are interested, you will need to fill out a domestic missions trip form (see right hand side bar) and hand it to Pastor Manny by FEBRUARY 5TH! Overseas trips for those in 11th grade and above with previous mission trip experience:
1) consider a trip to Kyrgyzstan to help conduct a sports camp for boys and girls that are ages 10-16. See Paul Shen for more details and hand in your mission application form (see right hand side bar)
2) teach English to elementary and middle school students in local villages in Taiwan from July 14 to July 28. See Anna Chau for more details and turn in application form.
!!! WINTER RETREAT !!! CCCNJ Winter Retreat is an extended time where we hear the Word of God preached, to spend time with God, and the fellowship of other brothers and sisters. Pastor Hoon Kim, the lead pastor of New Covenant Church will be challenging us to remember the first love that we have in Jesus in the midst of the shallow loves that distract and compete.
