CCCNJ Youth Group: Prayer requests from Newark Missions...

Dear church family,

Greetings from Newark!  It's day 3 of our missions trip and I wanted to
share a quick update on behalf of the team.

VBS:  We have around 15-20 kids coming to VBS aged 3-5th grade.  Some
children are rambunctous while others are shy.  We have gone over several
bible stories with them.  The highlight of VBS has been having
one-on-one/two with the children.  We sit down and take time to get to know
them personally, talk to them in detail of how to apply the Bible lessons in
their life, and to pray with them and allow them to pray with us.  Some of
the home-lives of the children are very difficult.  Pray for wisdom in
working and talking with the kids.

Light Construction:  In the afternoons, we have been cleaning classrooms,
hauling furniture, breaking apart furniture, etc...  Please pray for us as
we endure the heat.  It topped 105 here.  These classrooms will be filled
with children in the future where they will be taught the word of God.

Please be praying for team unity, a heart to serve, a love for the city, a
love for each other, and safety.
