Announcements
(1) Youth Camping Trip — Are you a student and in search of one last adventure before school starts? Brian Tam will be leading an End-of-Summer Camping and Canoeing Trip to Milford, PA from August 22-24th! This trip is open to the first 20 people to sign up, so act fast. The cost of the trip is $150, which includes canoe, camping, food and gas. Signup sheets are available from Pastor Chris' door. To help us prepare the best trip possible, please avoid last minute registrations.
(2) VBS Family Night Special Presentation — Jesse the Juggler's Gospel presentation at 7 - 8 PM on Thursday, August 14th at the Sanctuary. Parents are welcome to bring their children to this special event.
(3) Missions Night — This coming Friday (8/15) at 8:00PM, the church will have our annual 2008 missions night. We welcome you to join this whole church event, as we will be inviting the short-term mission teams of this year for sharing, drama & video presentation.
(4) Prayer Meetings — Hungry for more? Wednesday night prayer meetings are a great opportunity to seek the face of God with your fellow believers. Come join us at 8pm at church. English adults meet in the lobby in front of Pastor Andy's office; youth meet in Pastor Chris' office.
(5) English Congregation Website Administrator Needed - Do you know how to put together websites? Do you spend a lot of time on the internet? We have an immediate need for someone update the website on a weekly basis. Requires knowledge of simple HTML editing and about 1 hour per week. You will be trained. Please contact Raymond Lee (leerw@yahoo.com) to volunteer.
(6) Bulletin Administrator Needed - Do you like to edit and format text? Do you like to organize information and make them fit neatly on a page? If you would like to help with the weekly preparation of the Sunday Worship bulletin, please contact Raymond Lee (leerw@yahoo.com).
Love Gift Donations — If anyone has relatives or loved ones affected by the China Chengdu or Myanmar disasters, please let one of the deacons know so that CCCNJ may be able to help out with a Love Gift donation.
Membership Class — Anyone interested in becoming a member of CCCNJ should contact Pastor Andy.
Interested in Small Groups? — We have several small groups to meet your needs, for your age group and stage of life. If you’ve been to our church for awhile or have come recently, and you are looking to fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ outside Sunday worship service, please contact Ray Lee (leerw@yahoo.com) or Pastor Andy (abpigott@yahoo.com) for more information.
Prayer Requests
Please continue to pray for Ann Lee's recovery from surgery.
Praise God for the CCCNJ short-term mission teams that have returned to us! Pray that the Lord will use their testimonies to strengthen and encourage our church in the upcoming missions night.
Praise God for a wonderful praise night and church picnic this past weekend!
Please pray for the future and direction of our church, that God will lead us and guide us as one unified body.
Please pray for the VBS program next week as the Youth and College students serve the children and share with them the good news. Pray that the hearts of the children will be moved by the gospel and that they will have a fun and safe time at VBS.
